Who we are

Sofa Time is operated by Javier Aznar, trading as The Clash Soft, in Spain (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms apply to our apps, sofatime.app and related services. You can reach us at [email protected].

Using the Services means you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Purchases are also subject to the terms of the store you use. Your mandatory rights as a consumer remain protected.

What Sofa Time does

Sofa Time helps you discover and organize films and TV shows, keep watchlists and viewing history, rate titles, view statistics and release information, find streaming availability, and use community and synchronization features. Features may differ by platform, app version, region and purchase. Sofa Time does not display advertising. Sofa Time does not host or stream films or episodes. A Sofa Time Premium purchase does not include a subscription to a streaming provider or to a connected tracking service.

Your account

Some features require a Sofa Time Cloud account or a connected third-party account. You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person or use someone else's account without permission.

The Services are not intended for children under 13. You must also meet any higher age or parental-authorization requirements applicable in your country. If you cannot enter into a binding purchase contract yourself, a parent or legal guardian must authorize the purchase in accordance with applicable law and the store's rules.

Premium and in-app purchases

Sofa Time offers optional paid Premium access through in-app purchases. Premium subscriptions are available on iOS and Android. Depending on availability, options include monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time, non-consumable lifetime purchase. The purchase screen identifies the included features, price, currency, billing period, and any applicable offer before you confirm. An annual subscription is billed for the full annual amount; a displayed monthly equivalent is a comparison, not a monthly payment plan.

• Payment: Apple App Store or Google Play processes the purchase and charges the payment method associated with your store account upon confirmation, subject to any offer shown at checkout. We do not receive your full payment card details.
• Automatic renewal: monthly and annual subscriptions renew for successive billing periods unless you cancel through the relevant store. For Apple subscriptions, disable renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends; Apple may charge for renewal within the 24 hours before that end. For Google Play subscriptions, cancel before the next renewal date shown in Google Play; its billing and authorization rules apply.
• Cancellation: manage Apple subscriptions in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, and Google Play subscriptions in Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Canceling renewal normally preserves access until the paid period ends, subject to refunds, revocation or the store's applicable rules. Deleting the app, signing out or deleting your Sofa Time account does not cancel a store subscription.
• One-time purchases: a lifetime purchase has no recurring charge. Introducing subscriptions does not convert an existing one-time Premium purchase into a subscription or require its renewal. Previously purchased access remains subject to the scope of that purchase and your statutory rights.
• Account linking and restoration: new Premium plans require a Sofa Time Cloud account to link and verify your purchase. To restore access, use the relevant store account and the Sofa Time account associated with the purchase, where required, and the app's restoration option. Contact support if restoration fails. Availability on other platforms or through family sharing depends on the product and the store's rules.
• Offers: any introductory discount, trial or promotion applies only when offered to you. Eligibility, duration, initial charge and subsequent renewal price are shown before purchase. A trial or discounted subscription renews at the disclosed regular price unless canceled in time.
• Price and plan changes: store rules govern notices, consent, effective dates and billing adjustments. A price change does not retroactively change a completed payment.
• End of access: subscription benefits end when the verified entitlement expires, unless a store-supported grace period applies. A pending payment does not by itself grant access. Refunds or store revocation may remove the entitlement concerned.

Store instructions: manage Apple subscriptions and manage Google Play subscriptions.

Refunds and your consumer rights

Canceling renewal does not itself refund a payment already made. For App Store purchases, request a refund through Apple's refund process. For Google Play purchases, use Google Play's refund process or contact us for assistance. Eligibility depends on the purchase, the store's policies and applicable law. These procedures do not limit any refund or other remedy you are entitled to by law.

Where a statutory withdrawal right applies, it remains available unless a lawful exception applies. Immediate activation alone does not waive that right. For digital content supplied without a physical medium, loss of the right requires the express consent, acknowledgment and confirmation required by law. Different rules may apply to digital services. Your rights concerning defective or non-conforming services remain unaffected.

Using the app and its materials

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use Sofa Time for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and the applicable store's usage rules. The app's code, branding and design belong to us or our licensors. Film and TV artwork and metadata belong to their respective rights holders. Except where applicable law permits it, you may not:

• Copy, modify, redistribute or commercially exploit the app or its protected materials without permission.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or circumvent the app's security or purchase verification.
• Remove copyright notices or other proprietary markings.

For apps obtained through Apple, Apple's standard End User License Agreement applies to the app license unless a separate applicable EULA is supplied. These Terms govern our Services in addition to that license; mandatory law and applicable store terms prevail where required.

Connected services and catalog information

Sofa Time uses The Movie Database (TMDB) for film and TV information and may connect to Trakt, SIMKL, MDBList and WeTrakr for supported tracking and synchronization features. These are independent services with their own terms, privacy policies, account requirements and any separate charges. Connecting an account authorizes the supported exchanges and updates needed for the features you enable. Review synchronization options carefully, including settings that propagate changes or deletions.

Sofa Time is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Release dates, recommendations, translations and streaming availability may be incomplete or inaccurate and can change by country and provider. Check the streaming provider before paying for or relying on availability information. External links are subject to the linked service's terms; we do not control those services.

Your content and community rules

You retain your rights in your original reviews, comments, lists, profile text and other contributions. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, synchronize and display that content as needed to operate the features you use, including making public contributions available to others and providing translations. This license does not transfer ownership of your content. Publication follows the feature's visibility settings; see our Privacy Policy for details.

Only upload or import information you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for your contributions. You must not:

• Post unlawful, threatening, hateful, harassing or abusive content, spam, or content that infringes another person's privacy or intellectual property.
• Impersonate others, disclose someone else's private information, or upload malicious software.
• Access data without authorization, evade moderation, overload the Services, or use automation to bypass access limits.

We may review reports, remove prohibited content and restrict accounts when needed to enforce these Terms or comply with law. Report content or an account through the available app tools or by emailing [email protected], identifying the content and the reason. You can use the same address to request review of a moderation decision.

Service changes and leaving Sofa Time

Maintenance, network failures and third-party changes can interrupt the Services. We may update features for security, compatibility or service improvements. Material changes affecting paid access will be handled with any notice, consent and remedies required by law; this clause does not allow us to remove purchased rights without those protections.

You may stop using Sofa Time and request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, unlawful activity or a security risk. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to resolve the issue; urgent action may be necessary. Account termination does not automatically cancel subscriptions held by Apple or Google, and does not remove statutory remedies.

Our responsibility

We exercise reasonable care in providing the Services, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or the accuracy of information supplied by third parties. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses or losses arising solely from services outside our control. No exclusion applies where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights to conformity, remedies for defective digital services, or liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct or gross negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and will show the revision date on this page. We will give reasonable notice of material changes through the Services or another appropriate channel and obtain consent where required. Changes do not retroactively alter completed purchases or override mandatory consumer rights.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you retain the mandatory protections of the law of your habitual residence where applicable. Disputes may be brought before the courts competent under applicable law, including courts in your place of residence where consumer rules provide for this. Please contact us if you have a complaint so we can try to resolve it.
